Alan Shearer has praised Sergio Reguilon after his performance against Aston Villa this week and named the left-back in his Premier League Team of the Week.
Reguilon might not have had as much game time as he might have hoped for during his loan spell at Manchester United in the first half of the season but the Spaniard gave a decent account of himself whenever he got opportunities at Old Trafford.
Since his move to the Gtech Community Stadium in January, the left-back has been in fine form and has demonstrated that he is still good enough for the Premier League level.

Sergio Reguilon has impressed on loan this season
On Saturday, Reguilon set up two of Brenford’s three goals at Villa Park while also playing a key hand in the other as the Cherries emerged with a 3-3 draw from the Midlands.
The result was a big boost to the left-back’s parent club in their pursuit of Champions League qualification, with Tottenham leapfrogging the Villans to fourth place after their win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
Shearer named Reguilon in his Team of the Week and wrote about the former Real Madrid man on the Premier League’s website: “A threat all afternoon down Brentford’s left side and produced two brilliant assists.”
Spurs Web Opinion
Tottenham would be delighted with how well Reguilon has done at Brentford, with the left-back adding a few million to his summer transfer fee.
Spurs would have hoped that Bryan Gil had headed out on loan in January and done the same but following the winger’s decision to stay, the North London club would likely have to accept a cut-price fee for him in the summer.
