Shirt numbers available to Tottenham’s potential deadline day signings

With under 24 hours left until the close of the transfer window, Tottenham have only managed to sign Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke this summer, with the latter being sent back on loan to Leeds United for next season.

However, there is still time for Tottenham to have a busy deadline day and bring in some fresh faces.

Several first-team players have also left the club this summer which has freed up a lot of squad numbers for new arrivals.

With respect to shirt numbers, currently, No.2, No.9, No.13, No.18, and No.19 are all available following the departures of Kieran Trippier, Vincent Janssen, Michel Vorm, Fernando Llorente and Mousa Dembele.

Meanwhile, No.26 has not been worn by anyone at the club since former club captain and legend Ledley King retired back in the summer of 2012. 29, 30, 31, and 32 are all also available. Number 23 could become available if Christian Eriksen leaves the club.

Spurs Web Opinion

It looks like Tottenham are pursuing several options at the minute which seems to indicate that at least a couple of deals will come to fruition before the transfer window shuts. If Spurs don’t get at least two players in before the close of the transfer window, then the club can kiss their hopes of competing with Man City and Liverpool, goodbye.
