‘Shut up and go’ – Spurs legend has stern words for Man City over Harry Kane

Tottenham legend Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to voice his opinion on the Harry Kane transfer saga.

The former defender replied to the news that Manchester City will not return for Harry Kane next summer, so any potential deal for a striker has to be struck during this transfer window.

Kane’s situation has been the talking point across England throughout the summer transfer window.

The latest news from Fabrizio Romano is that Man City are prepared to pay £127m for Kane if they get an indication that a deal can be done. Spurs have insisted Kane is not for sale but a bid of £150m could tempt Daniel Levy to accept.

The Independent have gone a step further and claimed that Man City are willing to go up to that £150m mark.

Kane has yet to put on a Spurs shirt this season and did not travel with the squad to Portugal for their Europa Conference play-off despite now training with the first team (The Athletic).

Roberts, replying to a Spurs Web tweet, posted a stern and blunt message to Man City regarding their pursuit of Kane:

“So either pay the £160m or shut up and go.”

Every Spurs fan can relate to Roberts here. It is starting to get a bit tedious as the days go on. If the deal is going to happen, let’s make it happen. Nuno needs to know whether Kane is available and all this talk off the pitch can only hinder what happens on it.
