“Sign a right back” – Some Spurs fans urge club to make signing

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to the club’s announcement regarding Juan Foyth’s injury.

The 21-year-old injured the lateral ligament in his left ankle during the Audi Cup final victory against Bayern Munich .

After being stretchered from the pitch, it has now been confirmed that he will be ruled out of action until next month when he is expected to return to training.

Spurs are currently short of options at right-back with Kyle Walker-Peters the only player familiar with the position who is fit and has featured in pre-season.

Serge Aurier’s recent hand surgery saw him not feature against Inter Milan on Sunday and with Kieran Tripper now playing his football at Atletico Madrid, Walker-Peters is likely to line up on the right side of the defence against Aston Villa this weekend.

Some fans have called on the club to sign a new right-back, while others are relieved that Foyth is hopefully back in action during some part of September.
