Hoffenheim midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson is expecting to complete a deal to Tottenham Hotspur in the next 24 hours.
The 22-year-old who spent last season on loan at Swansea City will become Andre Villa-Boas’ first signing as Spurs boss.
Former Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers was keen on bringing Sigurdsson to his new club Liverpool, but Spurs have won the race. Is this a sign that Modric is on the verge of leaving the Lane?
According to Sky Sports, a fee between both clubs (said to be around £9m) has already been agreed and the player has even agreed personal terms and passed a medical.
It looks as if it’s a ‘done deal’.
