“Sissoko is an animal” – Some Man Utd fans aren’t happy with Spurs midfielder over ‘stamp’

Moussa Sissoko has been accused by some Manchester United supporters of stamping on one of their players.

The incident happened during the first half when the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder challenged United’s Dan James.

Sissoko fouled the recent signing from Swansea City and when the Welshman was on the ground, his boot appeared to make contact with James’ body.

The French international escaped a red card on 22 minutes for the incident which left James on the floor and appeared to be in some discomfort.

It has been a lively first half with bookings for both sides, but the stat that matters most is United lead the game 1-0 after Anthony Martial’s shot creeped inside Paulo Gazzaniga’s near post.

Spurs made a number of changes at the half with Juan Foyth, Heung-min Son, Oliver Skipp, Toby Alderweireld, Erik Lamela, Lucas Moura and Toby Alderweireld all coming on for the second 45 minutes.

Here’s how some fans reacted.
