Sissoko reveals whether he thinks Tottenham can win Premier League next season

Moussa Sissoko believes Tottenham can win the Premier League title next season as they have made a number of good signings over the summer.

The midfielder spent five years at Spurs and made over 200 appearances for the club (Transfermarkt) before departing as a free agent last year.

After spending last season at Watford and suffering relegation to the Championship, Sissoko is back in his native France with Ligue 1 side Nantes and getting ready to embark on a new campaign.

The 32-year-old recently set aside some time on Instagram to answer some questions from supporters as clubs’ pre-season preparations roll around.

One follower asked a bold question about his former side Tottenham, who have undergone a facelift under Antonio Conte by bringing in five new players over the summer (with Spence not far behind as number six – Fabrizio Romano).

Sisosoko was asked whether Spurs could go all the way in the Premier League next term and win the title, to which he gave a definitive ‘yes’ after noting how strong the squad currently looks.

Spurs brought in free agents Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster to start their window before adding Yves Bissouma, Richarlison and the loan signing of Clement Lenglet to the ranks.

A sixth addition is also thought to be close in the form of wing-back Djed Spence, who is on the verge of sealing a £12.5 million move from Middlesbrough which could rise to £20 million (Fabrizio Romano).

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham have done some very decent business so far this summer and there is a lot of confidence around the club, but winning the Premier League title may be a step too far.

They have added some good pieces but the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool are still big challengers and the gap to them needs to be narrowed first.
