Sissoko sends Spurs fans encouraging message ahead of West Ham game

Moussa Sissoko has sent a message of intent to Spurs fans following the 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Friday night.

The Frenchman took to Instagram to tell his supporters that the team will take all three points from West Ham on Tuesday.

In an Instagram story, Sissoko’s selfie was captioned with “See you Tuesday for three points”.

West Ham make the short trip across London to N17 on Tuesday, just over 72 hours after their Premier League return against Wolves on Saturday.

The Hammers took all three points in a 1-0 victory in their first visit to the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last April (BBC).

Michail Antonio’s second-half strike earned the visitors a win on the day, but they arrive this week struggling at the bottom end of the table.

Spurs are still in the hunt for a Champions League spot following the draw with Manchester United on Friday, although a defeat would seemingly end any hopes.

It is encouraging to see Sissoko’s positive outlook on the game. However, if we lose again to the Hammers at home it is a photo which could come back to haunt our optimism. Jose Mourinho’s first Spurs game was a win against West Ham – let’s hope he can replicate that.
