Djurgardens are confident Bergvall will shine at Spurs

Andersson has now told Fotbollskanalen: “Now there’s only one game left, the spring has gone quite quickly from the time we agreed with Tottenham. The way he’s handled this whole period since he was signed on February 2nd, he’s done it in a fantastic way and really shown that he’s a great player who has an incredibly bright future. The sky is the limit.”

Bergvall scored a brace in Djurgardens’ latest win over Mjallby and the clash saw the Tottenham man come up against his former teammate, Jacob Bergstrom, who noted that the teenager has now become a lot stronger.

Bergstrom said after the game about the midfielder: “He pushed me down in a tackle, that says it all. That he’s not just a nice little player who’s good with the ball, but it’s almost everything, I think. A nice person, great guy. He spices it up with the fact that he has gained a lot of kilos.”

The fact that Bergvall is putting on some muscle is a sign that the youngster is doing everything possible to give himself the best chance of hitting the ground running at Tottenham.

However, the 18-year-old is going to need time to adapt to his new surroundings, given the massive step in quality and intensity.
