Sky journalist reveals Conor Gallagher price tag as Spurs, Villa, and Atletico fight it out

Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has said that Tottenham Hotspur are expected to launch an offer for Conor Gallagher but warned the North London club that Chelsea have no intention of letting their academy graduate leave on the cheap this summer.

The speculation linking Gallagher with a move to Spurs shows no sign of slowing down as we edge closer to the opening of the summer transfer window.

Spurs face competition for Conor Gallagher’s signature

Just last week, when Fabrizio Romano was asked on JD Football to name the one player that he is sure Tottenham will pursue this summer, he had no hesitation in naming the Chelsea star.

Over the last few days, it has been reported that the Lilywhites will face competition from Aston Villa for the 24-year-old, with the Villains even alleged to have reached out to the Blues over a potential deal for the player (The Athletic).

Chelsea want at least £50m to sell Conor Gallagher

Solhekol has now taken to social media to confirm that Ange Postecoglou’s men might not just have to battle Villa for Gallagher’s services but also Atletico Madrid.

He stated that a bid is expected to arrive from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the midfielder this summer but warned that it will take a big fee to land the player.

The journalist asserted that even though the England international has just a year left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea will not let him go for less than £50m.

Spurs Web Opinion

Chelsea are not in a strong negotiating position due to Gallagher’s contract situation and I foresee them being forced to drop their asking price over the coming weeks as neither Spurs nor Villa will want to pay £50m.

When it comes to players, Chelsea can be very unpredictable and a new contract offer for Gallagher cannot be ruled out either.
