Sky reporter predicts Spurs star could be out of action for few weeks

Sky Sports’ Michael Bridge has revealed that Lucas Moura may be out of action for a few more weeks.

Moura came on as a substitute for Tottenham’s first two matches of the season against Southampton and Chelsea.

However, the Brazilian has missed the North London club’s last three clashes against Nottingham Forest, West Ham United and Fulham due to injury.

Conte told Football.Londonlast week that the 30-year-old has inflammation in his tendon.

The Spurs boss added that while he is hopeful that the winger will be back quickly, he pointed out that injuries of this kind do not tend to heal in just one or two weeks.

Bridge has now suggested that the former Paris Saint-Germain man could be out for an extended period.

When asked about the Brazilian’s injury, the journalist told GiveMeSport: “He could be out for a few weeks, so that’s a bit of a concern there.”

Moura was reportedly the subject of interest from both Aston Villa (Telegraph) and Newcastle United (Football Insider) on transfer deadline day but Tottenham decided to hang on to the pacy wide man.

Without Lucas, Conte only has two attacking options to call on from the bench in Gil and one of Son/Richarlison, depending on who starts. So, the 30-year-old is valuable to the squad and we need him back as quickly as possible.
