Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has revealed that Eric Dier has reached a verbal agreement over a potential move to Bayern Munich this month.
It was Football Insider who first broke the news on Friday morning that Dier had agreed personal terms with Bayern ahead of a sensational switch to the Bundesliga giants.
The report stated that his former Tottenham teammate Harry Kane had fully endorsed the signing of the centre-back to the Bavarian club’s hierarchy.
The outlet explained that Spurs are expected to give the green light for the 29-year-old to move to the Allianz Arena once they bring a centre-back through the door.
Eric Dier is a long-term target for Bayern Munich
Plettenberg has now also taken to social media to confirm that the Tottenham man has verbally agreed to move to the German club.
The journalist explained that Dier had been a target for Bayern since last summer and that Thomas Tuchel is now putting pressure on the club’s hierarchy to bring new signings through the door swiftly.
However, he added Bundesliga champions have not yet made a final decision on the England international and are continuing to explore other alternatives.

Spurs Web Opinion
One would have thought that Dier’s priority at his next club would be to get regular stars as he is theoretically still in the peak years of his career.
I would be quite surprised if he said yes to a move to Bayern as his game time at the Allianz Arena would be just as limited as it has been at Tottenham this season.
