Sky Sports predict how Spurs will get on at home to Crystal Palace

Tottenham Hotspur face a home tie against Crystal Palace in the Premier League weekend as they look to make it three wins in a row in the competition.

The Lilywhites looked down and out in the race for the top four a week ago but victories over Burnley and Fulham have hauled them right back in.

Coming into the weekend of fixtures, the Lilywhites are now just five points behind Chelsea in fourth but have a game in hand on their London rivals.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are down in 13th, hovering above the relegation battle but below the fight for European football next season.

Palace have just one win from their last five in the Premier League, with Tottenham’s recent form now looking rosier with three wins from their last five outings.

Sky Sports writer, Lewis Jones has predicted a 2-0 home victory for Jose Mourinho’s men this weekend, claiming that the North London side are hitting form at just the right time.

He said: ‘Tottenham are hitting form at just the right time. Three wins in a week has breathed life back into their chances of finishing the season amongst the top six.

‘And this fixture shouldn’t hold too many fears for them. Tottenham are unbeaten in the last 11 Premier League meetings with Crystal Palace.

‘Roy Hodgson’s boys know only one way of playing and that’s the stifle game. Spurs will probably need to be patient in order to break through and may rack up the shots on Vicente Guaita’s goal.

‘No team have faced more shots than Palace since the start of February (106) working out an average of 17.5 shots conceded per 90 minutes.

‘When Tottenham put their foot down it can be a shot frenzy especially if Dele Alli, Heung-min Son, Harry Kane and Gareth Bale are starting.’
