Sky Sports pundit predicts how Spurs will get on against Red Star Belgrade tonight

Tottenham Hotspur are in desperate need of a win, both in the Champions League and in general this season after recording just three victories from 12.

Spurs are yet to win in the Champions League so far in the new campaign, with their last victory in the competition coming back against Ajax in the semi-final last year.

The Lilywhites are currently joint bottom of their group alongside Olympiacos, with Red Star Belgrade and Bayern Munich above them.

Pochettino’s men welcome Red Star to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this evening in a bid to win their first match in four games.

Spurs come into the game off the back of a 1-1 draw at home to Watford on Saturday, as well as heavy 7-2 and 3-0 defeats to Bayern and Brighton respectively.

Sky Sports pundit, Charlie Nicholas, has predicted a confident and assured win tonight in North London for Tottenham, stating that the Lilywhites will run away as 3-0 victors.

He said (Sky Sports): ‘This is a must-win scenario. Tottenham were lucky against Watford as it was never a goal that Dele Alli scored. Mauricio Pochettino made seven changes – the most he has ever made – and he did not get a response.

‘Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld do not want to be there. They have not offered them a contract so they are just running them down. Danny Rose is the exact same – this whole situation is dysfunctional.

‘Heung-Min Son gives them guaranteed speed and drive, on and off the ball. He should always play alongside Harry Kane in my opinion. Red Star Belgrade will be awkward, but Tottenham will get some anger out here.’
