Sky Sports pundit predicts how Tottenham will get on against Bayern tonight

Tottenham Hotspur are back in action in the Champions League tonight as they host German champions, Bayern Munich, at the new White Hart Lane.

Spurs drew their first match in the group stage away to Olympiacos last month, while Bayern got off to a dream start with a comfortable win over Red Star Belgrade.

If Tottenham want to push for the top spot in the group, they will likely have to get a result at the new stadium tonight.

The Lilywhites should be full of confidence after their amazing European journey last season in which they escaped the group stage to kickstart a run all the way to the final.

However, Pochettino would surely prefer a more comfortable qualification, as his team picked up just a point from three games last season, before relying on PSV on match week six.

Sky Sports pundit, Charlie Nicholas, believes that Spurs will get their fourth 2-2 draw of the season after games against Man City, Arsenal, and Olympiacos.

He said: ‘I did the Tottenham game at the weekend and again they were unconvincing. Hugo Lloris’ gaffe gave Southampton a route back into the game but his superhero antics got him out of a hole. Harry Kane was clinical again and does what he does but Christian Eriksen looked so out of sorts. Mauricio Pochettino seemed as if he might have lost the dressing room but the Saints game was a springboard victory for Tottenham with 10 men. Bayern Munich are not as good as they once were and you can get at them – they rely heavily on Robert Lewandowksi. Philippe Coutinho got his first goal at the weekend and ex-Arsenal man Serge Gnabry is performing well but I’m going for a draw. This will be a result that Tottenham will be happy with.’
