Tottenham Hotspur fans and Sky Sports have a somewhat mixed relationship, and the news agency has done nothing to improve that over the last 24 hours.
In the build-up to the England internationals over the next week, Sky Sports decided to look at the young strikers who are pushing Kane for a starting spot.
Gareth Southgate included the likes of Raheem Sterling, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Callum Wilson, and more in the latest England squad.
While it would have been fine for Sky to take a look at the stats of these forwards and compare them to Kane, it was the phrasing of the tweet that triggered some Spurs fans.
They used the phrase ‘while Harry Kane’s struggles in front of goal continue’ to describe the captain’s recent form.
Many Spurs fans were quick to point out that Kane has already scored three goals in four games this season, which equates to a funny kind of struggle.
Sky Sports PL have since deleted the tweet.
I see @SkySportsPL ended up deleting this tweet from earlier after being roasted by Spurs fans, which I knew they would so I screenshot it at the time. Kane’s ‘struggles’ are 3 goals in 4 games. Why do the English media hate on their top players so much? I never understood it. https://t.co/mffiRaHhtK pic.twitter.com/132OfrdH3Q

It shows how good Harry Kane is when 3 goals in 4 games is him struggling in front of goal.
