Tottenham Hotspur have been linked to a number of players in this year’s summer transfer window already, however, Ndombele is currently the name on everyone’s lips.
Spurs have yet to replace Mousa Dembele after selling him back in January, with the Belgian midfielder being an integral part of Pochettino’s first team for the past five years.
Lyon powerhouse Tanguy Ndombele could be the perfect man to fit this box to box role, and Sky Sports even reported that Spurs were close to signing him in the last week.
No deal has been announced as of yet, and one Sky Sports reported believes Tottenham fans could be left waiting for weeks yet.
Lyall Thomas took to Twitter to reveal that, as he understands, Ndombele will now take a holiday to think his options over before making a decision in July when he returns.
The Frenchman has been bigging Spurs up today though, claiming Tottenham are a ‘big club’ and that any player would be interested in them (Sky Sports).
