“So he just wants money” – Some Spurs fans aren’t impressed by potential transfer

Christian Eriksen

Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for the vast majority of the transfer window but still finds himself in North London (AS).

According to report in the Daily Mail yesterday, Manchester United are now trying to complete a deal for Eriksen before the transfer deadline closes on Thursday at 5pm.

The report claims that Tottenham are keen to offload Eriksen this summer as they want to prevent the possibility of him leaving for free next summer, with his contract now having less than twelve months to run.

It is suggested that the Danish international’s representatives are confident of getting a deal over the line and that United will offer around £65 million for the 27-year-old.

Some Spurs fans took to social media and said that they will be annoyed with Eriksen if he moves to United as that will prove that he was only after more money instead of trophies considering the fact that the Old Trafford outfit will play in the Europa League this season.

Here’s how some fans reacted to the news:

Spurs Web Opinion

If Eriksen doesn’t want to be at the club, then there is no point in keeping him. Tottenham will be better of adding someone like Lo Celso or Fernandes who want to play for the club. We at Spurs Web expect only one of Lo Celso or Fernandes to arrive before the deadline.
