‘So proud’ – Tottenham man reacts after making his 300th appearance for club

Son Heung-min has admitted that he is delighted after making his 300th Tottenham appearance in the 2-2 draw against Liverpool.

Tottenham’s clash against the Reds was arguably the game of the Premier League season so far.

While Liverpool looked to carve the home side open by overloading the wide areas, Spurs were a potent threat on the counter-attack throughout the ninety minutes.

Antonio Conte elected to switch to a 3-5-2, with Son partnering Harry Kane up front, and both of Tottenham’s forwards tormented Liverpool’s high backline.

Given that the chances that the North London side fashioned, they would be disappointed at not taking all three points from the game.

Son floundered opportunities that one would normally expect him to take but the South Korean worked his socks off and was a willing runner all game.

The Tottenham forward took to social media after the game to admit that he was proud of making 300 appearances for the Lilywhites.

We are so lucky to have a player like Son. Apart from being a world-class footballer, the 29-year-old genuinely seems to have an attachment to the club, which is quite rare in modern football.

I would not be surprised if he reaches the 500 appearance landmark for Spurs as the South Korean is extremely fit and will likely not lose his pace or sharpness until his mid-thirties.
