‘So sick to watch’- West Ham player admits he has been left amazed by Spurs star

West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has admitted that he was blown away by how good Harry Kane’s finishing was when the Spurs striker was practising his shooting during England training sessions.

Rice has now become an established member of Gareth Southgate’s squad over recent months and looks nailed on to make the squad for the Euros next summer.

The 21-year-old recently admitted that he is learning a lot about leadership by being around the likes of Kane when he goes away on international duty with the Three Lions.

It turns out that it is not just Kane’s qualities as a leader that the West Ham man is impressed by but also by the ruthlessness of his finishing.

While the 27-year-old’s goalscoring record speaks for itself, Rice admitted that seeing him up close practising his finishing took him by surprise

The former Chelsea academy player said during an appearance on The Super 6 Podcast with Laura Woods and Adebayo Akinfenwa:

“I’ve never seen finishing like Harry Kane in my life.

“We done a finishing drill and he finished every single ball from outside the D-box. With power and precision.

“I know how good he is but witnessing him in training, it’s so sick to watch. You have to applaud it.”
