‘So underrated’ – Some Spurs fan react to Hugo Lloris save for France

Some Tottenham fans on social media were all-praise for Hugo Lloris after his performance against Belgium on Thursday.

The Nations League semi-final between France and Belgium was a topsy-turvy encounter, with the Red Devils racing into a 2-0 goal lead in the first half courtesy of strikes from Yannick Carrasco and Kevin De Bruyne.

However, Les Blues produced a tremendous fight-back, with goals from Karim Benzema, Kylian Mbappe and Theo Hernandez, helping them to seal a place in the final.

Lloris produced two magnificent saves on the night, the first to deny Kevin De Bruyne from close range when the score was 0-0.

The France captain then tipped another De Bryne piledriver over the bar with the game finely poised at 2-2.

The 34-year-old received plenty of plaudits for his first save in particular, with many in disbelief as to how the Tottenham man got a hand to the effort.

Some Spurs fans insisted that Lloris is still one of the best goalkeepers in the world and extremely underrated.

Lloris’ form since returning from the injury he suffered against Brighton two years ago, has been nothing short of sensational. It has gone under the radar a bit owing to Tottenham’s recent struggles. The Frenchman has more than earned a new contract.
