There has never been any love lost between Spurs fans and former defender Sol Campbell.
The England defender’s decision to move to Arsenal from Spurs after spending 12 years at White Hart Lane was seen as an act of treachery by Spurs fans and has never been forgiven for it by the white side of North London.
The 45-year-old was appointed as the manager of Southend United back in October but results haven’t gone his way since he took over.
Campbell lost his first three League One games in charge and was coming in for some heavy criticism.
He would have been hoping that the FA Cup visit to Dover Athletic was the perfect opportunity to get his first win as manager but Southend fell to an embarrassing defeat to the non-league side on Sunday.
Some Spurs certainly didn’t miss out on the opportunity to mock Campbell’s managerial credentials. Here’s how some of them reacted on social media:

Spurs Web Opinion
Sol Campbell never really looked like he had the intelligence or the tactical nous necessary to be a manager and based on his results at Southend United so far, it doesn’t look like he will have a particularly long career as a coach. When he does get the sack, you can be sure that Spurs fans will give him loads of stick and one certainly can’t say he doesn’t deserve that.
