Solskjaer names Tottenham star as summer target – and it isn’t Toby Alderweireld

Tottenham Hotspur may struggled to keep hold of Christian Eriksen this summer, as the Great Dane enters the final year of his current contract.

There doesn’t appear to be a new deal in the works, so Spurs must now decided whether to keep him and possibly lose him on a free in 2020, or sell him for a big profit now.

Despite having a sub-par season, Eriksen is still the League’s joint top assist-maker this campaign, along with Eden Hazard.

Big European clubs are surely going to start circling the playmaker, with the Mirror claiming Man United are on interested party.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will surely be backed with money this summer, and the report claims he has spoke to Ed Woodward about signing Eriksen.

United are reportedly willing to triple Eriksen’s £80,000 a week wages if a deal goes through.

The Mirror also adds that Man United expect Spurs to ask for at least £95m for the player.
