Some Southampton fans on social media are convinced that Danny Ings will leave the club at the end of the season on the back of the drubbing that the Saints received at Old Trafford.
Reports indicate that Ings is stalling on putting pen to paper on a new deal with Southampton, with his current deal running out in 18 months and Spurs are exploring the possibility of signing him in the summer.
It has been suggested that the striker is keen to play in the Champions League and that Jose Mourinho is a huge fan of the 28-year-old.
Ralph Hasenhuttl has confidently stated that he is sure that the England international will still be at the club next season.
However, on the back of the 9-0 defeat to Manchester United on Tuesday, some Southampton fans are convinced that both Ings and Hasenhuttl will leave the south coast at the end of the season.
And just like that their Europa dreams are over. Ings will probably leave too

Ings will leave, Ralph will walk. Season has fallen apart. We’re a laughing stock again. Just more fun times being a #SaintsFC fan

Ings wanting to leave doesn’t help the players btw. Need a more committed squad

Ah, that's probable. Ings wanted to leave too I think

Wouldn’t at all surprise me if Ralph, Ings, JWP and other top players leave ffs, if Ralph goes we actually are straight down… #Saintsfc https://t.co/paqlKBm4dH

Amazing how quickly it goes from why would Ings leave to why would Ings stay. #saintsfc

The #saintsfc owners cannot be surprised at what's going on. Ralph is a great manager, not a magician. Having to field youngsters at Old Trafford is a joke. Him and Ings will leave this summer and who can blame them?

Can’t blame Ralph or Ings if they leave, we’re going no where if Gao is still in #gaoout https://t.co/tDmNSPVyv0

Spurs Web Opinion
Mourinho could well turn things around over the next few months but if performances and results continue to go downhill, Hasenhuttl would be the one I would like to see brought in as Jose’s replacement. I am sure the Austrian will be able to convince Danny Ings to come to Spurs if we were to appoint him.
