Some Tottenham fans on social media have reacted emotionally to former Spurs’ first-team coach Jesus Perez’s admission that he and the rest of Mauricio Pochettino’s coaching team will be back at the North London club one day.
Perez was Pochettino’s assistant through the Argentine’s five and a half year reign as Spurs boss. Tottenham came a long way both on and off the pitch during Pochettino’s time at the club, going from top four hopefuls to Champions League regulars.
Pochettino was adored by the Tottenham faithful during his time at the club and his sacking back in November of 2019 did not go down particularly well among parts of the Spurs fan base.
The 49-year-old, who took charge of Paris Saint-Germain in January, admitted last year that he would like to return to Spurs one day and finish the job of winning a title with the club.
Some Spurs fans were quite moved at the time by his words and Jesus’ admission to The Evening Standard has now stirred a similar reaction from some supporters.

Spurs Web Opinion
It would be special to see Pochettino and his staff return to Spurs in five or ten years time. Hopefully, we would have won plenty of trophies before then and reached even greater heights as a club.
