Tottenham Hotspur may have splashed the cash a little in the summer transfer window at the start of this season, but they have been unable to reap many rewards thus far.
Tanguy Ndombele has been a hit in North London already and seems to be improving with every game he plays, but he is the only new signing to get meaningful time on the pitch so far.
Giovani Lo Celso has enjoyed a few cameos on the pitch for Spurs since his loan move from Real Betis, but he has yet to start a game for the Lilywhites due to a hip injury he sustained on international duty with Argentina.
Meanwhile, Ryan Sessegnon hasn’t managed a single minute in a Spurs shirt due to a hamstring injury he picked up while still a Fulham player.
However, Spurs have posted some positive news today as they revealed that Sessegnon and Lo Celso are now both in the late stages of rehabilitation.
Some Spurs fans reacted on Twitter:
Just want to see Sessegnon play before I die

Great to see Lo Celso & Sessegnon nearly there. I really think they’ll be a huge boost to our season.

We were told weeks ago that Lo Celso will be out until late October, why are people saying shit like he’s been injured for years. If anything he’s ahead of the return date?
