Tottenham Hotspur’s Kieran Trippier hasn’t enjoyed the best of seasons in the Premier League this year, leading to some reports claiming he may be sold in the summer (Express).
Trippier was one of the country’s heroes back in the summer of 2018, as he was an integral part of the England football team that reached the semi-finals of the World Cup.
Tripps was a standout performer throughout the competition, even curling in a freekick to put the Three Lions ahead in the semi-final against Croatia.
However, since those glory days in Russia, Trippier’s form has come tumbling down, as he has struggled to maintain any consistency in the right-back position.
While the England man looks comfortable as a wingback in a back five, his defensive abilities in a back four have been questionable.
To celebrate Spurs reaching the Champions League Final, some Tottenham stars have been awarded special upgraded ratings on the popular video game FIFA.
Trippier was asked to guess his new defensive rating, and the right-back lumped for 85 out of a possible 99.
