Some England fans were left to enjoy the scenes of Chris Powell celebrating wildly in the background after Harry Kane scored England’s second goal against Germany on Wednesday.

The 2-0 win banished plenty demons for England, who finally managed to beat the Germans in tournament football for the first time since 1966.

The win means that Gareth Southgate’s side potentially have a dream route to the final of the European Championship, with now only Ukraine and one of Denmark or the Czech Republic standing in their way.

The wild celebrations at Wembley on Wednesday after Kane turned in Jack Grealish’s cross certainly showed how much the win meant for the players, the staff and the fans.

Amid the chaos after the Kane goal, some fans noticed that Powell, who is part of Southgate’s coaching staff, going wild in the background in front of a composed looking England boss.

In addition to his coaching duties with England, the 51-year-old also serves as the head of coaching for the Tottenham Hotspur Academy and assisted Ryan Mason during his role as interim head coach after Jose Mourinho’s sacking.

Here’s how some fans reacted to Powell’s celebration in the background.
