Tottenham Hotspur signed Leeds United winger Jack Clarke today, with the teenager rejoining his old club on loan for the upcoming season (Tottenham).
Clarke played 25 games for Leeds last season, earning his first start in January, scoring two and assisting a further two in this time.
The Englishman is quickly becoming one of the most exciting young prospects in the English Football League.
The Guardian report that the deal involved an initial fee of around £10m, with potential future add-ons taking this price up to £11.5m.
Clarke became Tottenham’s first signing in the last 18 months, with Lucas Moura joining up from PSG way back in January 2018.
While Leeds fans may be upset at losing one of their most promising young talents, some fans did see the funny side of the announcements.
Leeds revealed that Clarke had left the club to join Spurs with a tweet including a #ByeJack hashtag, before immediately posting that he had rejoined on loan with a #HiJack hashtag.
