Some opposition fans react to Harry Kane’s ‘dive’ against Wolves

Tottenham Hotspur fell to a 3-1 defeat to Wolves at Wembley in what was a disappointing afternoon for the club. Spurs started out the game in extremely enterprising fashion, moving the ball about with authority and opening up Wolves almost at will.

The home side got their opener through a blistering left-foot drive from Harry Kane. At that point, you would have been forgiven for thinking that a Kane hattrick was in coming.

However, the 25-year-old has hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons after the game. With the score at 1-1 Kane made a run down the Spurs right and took the ball past Ivan Cavaleiro and went down claiming he was clipped by the Portuguese winger.

However, replays showed that there was no contact on Kane and that the referee was right to book him for diving. Here’s how Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool fans reacted on social media to the incident:

While Wolves’ comeback in the second half is difficult enough to stomach already for Spurs fans, the site of opposition fans having a field day just rubs more salt into the wound, in what was a really bad day for the club.
