Some Prem rival fans want Tottenham youngster back next season

A few seasons ago, Josh Onomah looked favourite to be the next Spurs academy star to break into the first team.

He made 19 appearances for Spurs in all competitions through the 2015/16 season, as well as clocking up 12 more and a goal in the following campaign (Wikipedia).

In the 2017/19 season, Onomah was sent out on loan to Aston Villa, where he appeared 37 times and scored four times.

Unable to force his way into Pochettino’s plans last year, Onomah was sent out on loan again to Sheffield Wednesday this time, but he failed to make an impact, playing just 14 games without any goals.

I find it hard to believe that Onomah will be anywhere near the Tottenham squad next season, and would expect him to either be sold on the cheap or loaned out again.

The Daily Mail actually listed Onomah as one of eight potential Tottenham sales this summer last week.

It appears that some Aston Villa fans would be very interested in welcoming the English prospect back to the now-Premier League club.
