Jack Clarke’s loan spell at QPR is not exactly going according to plan for the youngster.
Clarke spent the first half of the season on loan at Leeds United after signing for Spurs permanently last summer, but the youngster hardly featured for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
The pacey winger was subsequently recalled by Spurs and sent to QPR for the second half of the season, with the hope that he would get more time and show his quality.
However, the 19-year-old has only featured in five of QPR’s nine games since signing, with most of those appearances coming from the bench (TransferMarkt).
The youngster once again started from the bench during QPR’s 2-1 win over Derby County on Tuesday, coming on with a half an hour left to play.
However, Clarke struggled to get involved in the game and did nothing of particular significance during the time he was on the pitch.
Some QPR fans have blasted the teenager for his performance and questioned what the Spurs loanee had to offer:
Jack Clarke has done nothing since his loan move

Went down to 10 men when Clarke came on , just dont get it why at this stage of the season are we trialling spurs players instead of giving our own lads time

I don’t know what’s up with that young lad, but he can’t seem to pass or control the ball, nor cross ??♂️

He’s about 1/8 of the player Eze is

#QPR Missed the first 20 minutes tonight but very happy with the result!
Rooney still has some serious passing ability that would open up most teams in the Championship!
Jack Clarke looks like a young man lacking confidence at the moment and at times looked totally lost!— neil flynn (@neilflynn61) February 25, 2020
Why did QPR even loan Jack Clarke? Pointless
— Joshua Hodges (@EatsJoshy) February 15, 2020
If Jack Clarke was worth £10m…Eze is worth £50m

How anyone sees anything in that Jack Clarke is beyond me? He looks so lost and weak every time I see him play

Spurs Web Opinion
Some rustiness is to be expected with Clarke given how little football he played in the first half of the season. However, he has now had enough games at QPR to have shown glimpses of his quality. The fact that he has been unable to break into the Rangers team is extremely concerning indeed.
