It has been a topsy turvy old career for young Marcus Edwards so far, once compared to the great Lionel Messi by manager Pochettino (Sky Sports).
However, the winger has failed to live up to the hype as of yet and has some real catching up to do on a number of other graduates who have now overtaken him.
Harry Winks is now a first-team regular, while Oliver Skipp, Luke Amos, Kyle Walker-Peters, and George Marsh have all been given chances too.
Meanwhile, Edwards has been away in the Netherlands, plying his trade for Excelsior for the past season.
Edwards should now return to the Tottenham fold for pre-season, but the Daily Mail have listed him as one of eight players who Spurs will put up for sale this summer.
Some Tottenham fans are frustrated by this news, as they still believe Edwards should be given his chance at the North London club. While others believe it is the right choice.
Selling Edwards would be a huge mistake.

I’ll always trust Poch but if he lets Edwards leave that’ll be a huge mistake

From what I’ve seen of him he’s sorted his attitude out since being out on loan and he’s always had the potential. I think another loan would do him good

Wasn’t good enough for a relegation threatened ererivisie side but you think he’s ready for a top 4 club?

His attitude seems to have improved but physically he’s miles off a top PL player. Dutch league is less physical and he still couldn’t assist, score or defend at that level. Afraid the writing is on the wall for him.

Yeah QPR would be perfect imo
