Some Tottenham fans are pleased to hear reports that Oliver Skipp could be on his way to Norwich City on a season-long loan this summer.
Jose Mourinho has previously admitted that the midfielder asked to be loaned out next season in order to get more games under his belt.
Fulham were said to be interested in taking the teenager on loan ahead of their return to the top flight (Evening Standard).
However, reports now indicate that the Spurs academy graduate is on his way to Carrow Road next season.
Some Spurs fans believe that a move to Norwich would be ideal for Skipp despite their relegation to the Championship, due to the possession-based football that Daniel Farke’s men play.
A few even suggested that allowing the teenager to join the Canaries on loan might be a sweetener to help Spurs land Max Aarons this summer.
Here’s how fans reacted on hearing about Skipp’s rumoured move to the Championship club:
Great move. Replacing Tettey in a team who plays fotball will suit him well. Praying Farke is staying put.

Oliver Skipp set to join Norwich City on a season-long loan deal.
Good style of football that will suit his game, hopefully regular game-time and they should be battling at the top end of the table for promotion back to the PL, should be a great experience for him. #THFC pic.twitter.com/SyYx4epEbR

Oliver Skipp is heading to Norwich on loan for the season, great for his development.
Joe Hart is set to join Spurs on a free, great for Tottenham's homegrown player count.
👍 Not exciting moves, but two very necessary ones!

I’d love him to stay and I think he has the ability to play regularly for us he’s that talented, but at this stage in his career he needs guaranteed game time so a move to a good championship team is smart – although I would’ve rather it was to a Premier League side.

Surely Skipp to Norwich means Aarons is on his way to us

Norwich is a brilliant loan deal for Skipp. Attractive football and will be near the top of the pile in the Championship.

Skipp to Norwich on loan = Aaron’s to Spurs

Spurs Web Opinion
Loaning Skipp out to a side near the top end of the Championship is much preferable to sending him on loan to a club fighting for their lives in the Premier League. Not only do Norwich play the right way but they will likely be looking to win every game next season as they plot a return to the top flight. That is the kind of pressure that the 19-year-old needs to learn to play with.
