Some Spurs fans are overjoyed to see youngster start against Colchester

As expected, Mauricio Pochettino has named a much-changed side for Tottenham’s Carabao Cup third-round tie against Colchester United.

Eric Dier captains the side in what is his first start of the season, while Dele Alli also comes back into the team along with Lucas Moura after missing out against Leicester City.

Midfielder Victor Wanyama also gets his first start of the season while Kyle Walker-Peters makes his first appearance since returning from injury.

However, it is the inclusion of youngsters Troy Parrott and Japhet Tanganga that will excite Tottenham fans the most, with Parrott, in particular, showing great promise for the youth teams as well as in with the senior team in preseason.

Despite being just 17 years of age, great things are expected of Parrott both in his home country of Ireland as well as at Spurs and some fans understandably can’t wait to see him in action in his first competitive start for the club.
