Tottenham Hotspur announced today that Hugo Lloris would likely not even return to training until the new year, leaving Spurs with just one senior keeper for the foreseeable future.
This comes after Lloris dislocated his elbow in the most recent match against Brighton after he failed to deal with a cross in the opening minutes.
Simultaneously handing Brighton the opening goal, Lloris landed awkwardly on his arm as he fell over his own goal line and was eventually stretchered off the pitch after receiving oxygen from the medics.
While this is a fantastic opportunity for Paulo Gazzaniga to step up and enjoy a run in the first team, it is bittersweet for the Argentine after seeing his captain in so much pain.
Lloris’ injury also leaves Spurs short on shot-stoppers, with young Alfie Whiteman likely being the next in line after Gazzaniga.
However, some Spurs fans believe that an old player may be the answer:

Spurs to re-sign Vorm?

Spurs Web Opinion:
I think Vorm seems to be a logical and sensible choice for Spurs, with the transfer window not currently open. A new long-term keeper is needed, but perhaps this is the perfect chance to test Gazzaniga, with Vorm acting as a number two.
