Some Spurs fans ask Carlos Vinicius question after 2-0 Leicester City defeat

Tottenham Hotspur have dropped from first to fifth in the Premier League table over the past week thanks to back-to-back defeats against Liverpool and Leicester City.

Spurs were blown away by the efforts of the Foxes yesterday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Brendan Rodgers’ side netting twice without reply.

Going in at the break one goal behind thanks to a senseless piece of defending by Serge Aurier, Jose Mourinho decided to be proactive with his substitutions.

Gareth Bale was introduced with Tanguy Ndombele withdrawing, however, an injury to Giovani Lo Celso soon after the second half kicked off forced him into a second change.

Lucas Moura came on for the injured Argentine, while Harry Winks was later given a run out in place of Aurier.

This meant that, despite Spurs chasing a two-goal deficit, their only other striker beyond Harry Kane in Carlos Vinicius was left on the bench as an unused substitute.

Some Spurs fans took to Twitter to question this:
