Some Spurs fans believe social media post could be a hint on Bale’s future

Some Spurs fans on social media cannot help but wonder why Tottenham’s social media admin posted a picture of Gareth Bale training with Wales despite his loan deal with the club expiring.

Bale admitted after netting a brace in Tottenham’s final league game of the season that he has already made a decision about his future but added that it would ‘create chaos’ if revealed what it was.

This has predictably led to pundits speculating on whether the 31-year-old is likely to return to North London next season.

Some reports have indicated that Spurs have no option to extend the forward’s stay and would have to hammer out a new agreement with Real Madrid should they want to re-sign the Welshman.

Bale’s focus, for now, will be on doing well for Wales in the European Championship and the superstar has already joined up with his international side ahead of the tournament.

When Tottenham tweeted out a picture of the Real Madrid star training with his national team, some fans were wondered whether it was a sign that he is likely to return to Spurs next season, seeing as his loan period has now expired.

Spurs Web Opinion

This is clearly a case of Spurs fans reading too much into the post. Even if it is true that Levy is planning on offering the next Tottenham manager the chance to re-sign Bale for next season, the club’s social media admin is not going to be informed of those plans.
