Some Spurs fans on social media are delighted to hear reports that Tottenham are currently considering opening talks with Hugo Lloris over a new contract.
Lloris has been one of the most consistent shot-stoppers in the Premier League since arriving from Lyon in 2012.
The Frenchman has had to endure a fair bit of criticism over the last couple of years as mistakes started to creep into his game.
However, the 33-year-old has been in stellar form since returning from the elbow injury that kept him out for several months last season.
Italian transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano took to social media to reveal that the club are considering opening talks with the Les Blues skipper over a new deal, with his current contract having just two more years left to run.
Some Spurs fans believe that Lloris has more than deserved a new deal on the back of the performances he has put in over recent months:
He's been stellar since the restart, which could be an indication that he's working well with Nuno Santos. Although, I do hope that the club have some kind of long term plan in place to replace him…

Spurs Web Opinion
It looked like the few months on the sidelines earlier in the season helped Hugo to clear his head as he has been almost flawless since his return to the side. When he is at his best, he usually saves us plenty of points consistently and I would be happy to see him stay for a few more years if he can maintain the same standard of performances.
