Tottenham Hotspur will surely be looking to spend some money this summer after going on a two transfer window hiatus over the past season.

The last player Tottenham brought in was Lucas Moura from PSG way back in January 2018, around 15 months ago (BBC).

In this time, Spurs have also sold a key first-team player in Mousa Dembele, who departed for China in the January window this year (BBC).

Tottenham will likely look to plug the gap left by the big Belgian this summer, and one man who has been heavily linked is on loan Everton midfield star Andre Gomes (Telegraph).

The central midfielder is currently contracted to parent club Barcelona, but is said to favour a move to Spurs over Everton this summer (Sunday Mirror 19/05 pg 72).

However, despite the reports, some Spurs fans are not a fan of the potential deal, and have taken to Twitter to voice their protests.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Unfortunately, I have to say that I agree with these comments. I have seen nothing from Gomes at Everton this season that tells me he would improve Tottenham next season. Much like Kovacic at Chelsea, the on-loan star doesn’t look like anything special to me.
