Tottenham take on Crystal Palace in the first ever Premier League fixture to be held at the new stadium.

The 62,062 capacity stadium has been the source of much frustration for Spurs fans, who will be relieved to finally see the back of Wembley.

The two test events held at the venue the last two weekends gave fans a taste of what to expect at the state-of-the-art venue, and it fair to say that most fans were impressed by what they saw.

Tottenham’s form has suffered terribly in recent weeks as the side are winless in their last 5 games, losing 4 and drawing 1.

Pochettino will be hoping that the new stadium acts as a catalyst, helping the team to improve their form and finish in the top 4.

Ahead of the game, several Spurs fans had an ominous prediction about which player is likely to get the Spurs goal.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Well, 55 minutes into it and Spurs continue their new tradition of wasting every good chance opened up. Will this match set a new record for a Spurs winless streak in the Premier League to celebrate the new ground?

  2. OK, so it’s an hour into it and Son has scored. Even if Spurs hold Palace today if they don’t score more, many more, goals per match they are likely to miss out on goal difference to the Arses or even Chelsea.
