Tottenham made a late attempt to sign Juventus forward Paulo Dybala in the summer transfer window, only for the deal to fall through due to complications with the Argentine’s image rights ownership (The Independent).
The Daily Star reported a few days ago that Spurs will make another attempt to sign Dybala in January, with The Daily Express also insisting that the Lilywhites remain confident of landing the Argentine international.
However, it turns out that Dybala might not be Spurs fans’ overwhelming first choice to bring in during the January transfer window.
A fan conducted a poll on Twitter asking Spurs fans who they preferred to sign between Paulo Dybala, Jadon Sancho, Bruno Fernandes, and Yousef Atal.
To many people’s surprise, the vote has turned out to be pretty evenly split between Dybala and Sancho, with many fans preferring the England international over the Juventus man due to his age and potential.
Check out how some Spurs fans reacted to the poll:
Delusional I’m a spurs fan Dybala is quality but has to be sancho 6 years younger than Dybala and that good already

I can understand the clamour for the top two options, but realistically Atal should be 100% winning this, our right back spot is by far the weakest position in the squad right now and urgently needs upgrading

Dybala… obviously. But to have pace like Sancho on the right wing. With Sonny on the left is something we have missed for so long

Sancho, easy

We need Atal the most but genuinely think Sancho will become one of the best players in Europe so….

Spurs Web Opinion
Sancho likely has a higher ceiling compared to Dybala due to his age. The fact that Spurs wanted to sign him when he left City indicates that Pochettino clearly rates the England youngster highly. However, Dybala is the more realistic target given how close Spurs came to landing him in the summer and will likely cost significantly lesser than Sancho.
