Spurs Web Opinion

It is good to see that despite years of frustration in the transfer market, Spurs fans still retain their sense of humour. Upon reading the reports linking Messi to a move to Manchester City, it is humbling to realise the fact that we are competing with clubs who can afford to completely blow us out of the water in terms of the transfer fees and wages they can pay, with or without COVID. That is why we will have to be very smart in the transfer market if we wish to close the gap with the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.

  1. I think it would be pointless us buying Messi anyway. Barcelona have been winning everything for the last 15 years. As soon as they let a couple of goals in, the Prima-donna launches his toys out the pram and wants to leave. How long would he be doing the same at Spurs? 1st half of the first game? OK maybe second.half.
