Alexandre Lacazette’s negative comments about the atmosphere in stadiums in England have caused some Tottenham Hotspur fans to take to Twitter to make light of the comments.
The Arsenal striker has claimed that the there is more noise made within stadiums in France compared to those in England.
Spurs fans were quick to remind the £50 million signing exactly who he plays his club football for. Arsenal are known for having a terrible atmosphere at the Emirates, which is referred to some as the new Library – which is a reminder that Highbury was also a terrible place.
Lacazette believes that even though the Premier League stadia are able to hold more than in Ligue 1, it doesn’t make for a better setting. It certainly doesn’t help when you play your football at the Emirates every other week.
