Some Spurs fans on cloud nine as reports suggest major transfer deal is done

Tottenham Hotspur broke their year and a half hiatus from signing players by announcing the signing of Leeds United winger Jack Clarke earlier today.

Reports from various sources including Sky Sports now indicates that the club have also sealed a £65m deal for Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele after the French international visited Hotspur Way today to conclude his medical.

Ndombele has been linked with a move to Spurs for quite a while now but Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas came out a couple of days ago to refute suggestions that an agreement was in place with Spurs for the sale of Ndombele (RMC).

However, reports from various sources now indicate that it is only a matter of time before the deal is announced.

Some Spurs fans on social media couldn’t contain their excitement on reading the reports while others insisted that they will only believe that the deal is done when they have official confirmation.

One cannot blame Spurs fans for being wary about these kinds of reports, particularly after the Willian saga. However, if Tottenham do manage to get a deal for Ndombele over the line, then it will be a massive statement of intent by the club.
