Some Tottenham fans on social media were enraged with Gary Neville who was commentating on the Everton vs Tottenham game for Sky Sports. Much to Spurs fans’ delight, the North London side demolished the Merseysiders 6-2 at Goodison Park.
However, Spurs fans weren’t best pleased with Neville’s antics in the commentary box. The former defender kept talking about the rumors linking Pochettino to Manchester United, instead of focusing his analysis on Spurs, who were sending a statement to the rest of the division with a stellar performance.
Neville had previously described the Tottenham manager as the perfect choice to take over at Old Trafford, which certainly didn’t sit well with Spurs fans as the Lillywhites sit 13 points clear of Man Utd in the Premier Legue table.
Here’s how some Spurs fans reacted on Twitter to Neville’s commentary during the game:
That commentary by @SkySportsPL, @GNev2 and Martin Tyler was absolutely disgraceful. The disrespect shown towards @SpursOfficial is unforgivable and it's time media companies like Sky were punished for this type of behaviour #COYS #THFC ⚽️

Spurs fans certainly have good reason to be angry considering this result puts them just two points off Manchester City and six points off Liverpool.
Whatever the pundits’ and experts’ talking points are, Tottenham fans will certainly believe this title race is far from over.
