Some Tottenham fans on social media are starting to wonder whether the North London club will ever manage to end their trophy drought after Christian Eriksen’s goal led Inter Milan to their first league title since 2010.

Spurs are set to end their 13th straight season without any silverware to show for their achievements after coming up short in yet another final against Manchester City last week.

Tottenham look a long way from the side that was challenging for the Premier League title under Mauricio Pochettino and finished runners up in the Champions League.

Eriksen, who was an important part of that Pochettino side that failed to get over the line, scored Inter’s opening goal in their 2-0 win over Crotone on Sunday, a result which saw the Nerrazuri seal a historic Scuddeto triumph.

The former Spurs midfielder looked to be on his way out of the San Siro back in January but has managed to turn his fortunes around over the last few months, playing a key part in Antonio Conte’s side’s run-in.

The 29-year-old’s decision to swap Spurs for Inter in the January of last year has now been vindicated.

While some Spurs fans on social media were happy for the Dane, others started to wonder whether Tottenham are cursed.
