Tottenham Hotspur have finally announced the permanent transfer of Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis this January transfer window. Gio signs a deal with Spurs until 2025.
The news comes just moments before Spurs also announced that Christian Eriksen has completed his own January move to Inter Milan after seven seasons in North London.
Lo Celso had a slow start to life at the Lane, but has earned consistent starts under Jose Mourinho of late across all competitions.
The Argentine looked particularly impressive against Southampton and Norwich City recently in the FA Cup and Premier League respectively.
Lo Celso was originally on loan from Real Betis for the season, but it was since reported that Tottenham had an option to make the deal permanent in January for a discount price.
It was reported by ABC Sevilla that Spurs could sign the player for €32m in January or €40m at the end of the season.
