Tottenham Hotspur have lost the first leg of the Champions League round of sixteen match against RB Leipzig in North London.
Of course, in the two-legged Champions League format, an away goal will be a big boost for Leipzig going into their home match.
Spurs were timid and poor in the first half at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but really grew into the match in the second 45.
Despite a lapse of concentration from Ben Davies, giving away the penalty that gifted Leipzig their goal, Spurs became the aggressors in the match.
Mourinho took off Dele Alli and Gedson Fernandes and added Erik Lamela and Tanguy Ndombele, which completely changed the game.
Unfortunately, Spurs couldn’t make the late pressure pay, as Leipzig saw out the match and the score finished 1-0.
The Lilywhites will have to go to Germany and come up with a big result to progress.
