Tottenham Hotspur are back in action this weekend as they look to progress to the next round of the FA Cup, with Southampton being today’s opponents.
It took Spurs a replay to defeat Championship side Middlesbrough in the last round, eventually winning the second game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium 2-1.
Southampton have been in fine form of late and most recent beat Spurs at St Mary’s on New Years Day, under one month ago.
Jose Mourinho lost three points and three men to injury that day, as Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko needed subsequent surgery and Tanguy Ndombele was sidelined for weeks.
The Special One has decided to leave out both Christian Eriksen and Troy Parrott from his FA Cup squad today.
Parrott has found chances few and far between under Mourinho so far in North London. Eriksen is rumoured to be having a medical with Inter Milan later in the week, so has he finally played his last game for Spurs?
